Harrat Viewpoint is a popular destination high above AlUla, Saudi Arabia, that provides expansive views of the oasis. One can see for miles from its vantage, including both Old Town AlUla and the ruins of the ancient city of Dadan. The viewpoint sits atop an escarpment of volcanic rock approximately 1,219 meters (4,000 feet) above sea level and is reached by a narrow, nicely paved, but almost too steep, series of switchbacks from the valley floor. The location hosts an authentic Greek restaurant called OKTO, which has the absolute best views (and good food too!), and at night visitors can enjoy comfortable lounge areas around firepits. 🙂
